Our Wind-Rose points towards the South, the Mediterranean Sea.

Since forever olive trees have been growing here in Puglia, and these ancient trees enjoy ideal climatic conditions that favour their growth and survival even for a thousand years. I decided to adopt organic cultivation on my land without resorting to the use of chemical fertilizers or other artificial chemicals on these secular plants.
"SerenErba", the name of my farm which is run by myself with the help of my family in the countryside of Ostuni. The farm is a result of two of my greatest passions:

-the respect and safeguarding of Nature and its resources
-the rediscovery of traditional farming methods

For centuries my forefathers have adopted a chemically free agriculture and since 1993 I too have adopted organica agriculture to guarantee a good and pleasant tasting oil, ideal for a healthy diet.
My great commitment together with hard work reward me with a good extra virgin olive oil, with low acidity, rich in organoleptic qualities, and abounding in flavour which I invite you to discover for yourself.

Masseria "Il Frantoio"

This is the farm where my parents, Armando and Rosalba Balestrazzi welcome their guests at their agro-hotel. There are only eight rooms in their hotel, all comfortably fitted with antique furniture. If you wish to come personally to taste our oil produce I would suggest you try their place: Rosalba, my mother is a very good cook. My father has for years been producing excellent extra virgin olive oil, "Trecolline" /Three hills, Dop Collina di Brindisi /Hill of Brindisi, and "Leccina" which is produced from a single type of olive tree known as Leccina.

We chose this particular name so as to give the bearings of our land to our web site.
More or less Meridian 17° East, crosses the territory where our olives grow and so it has been adopted as home address in our countryside in Puglia, close to Ostuni, in the South of Italy, where one day we hope you will want to come and visit us personally and not only on the Internet.
Besides the Meridian is also a unit of measure.
